Before configuring Wasabi backup storage with PloyWP, ensure you have:
An active Wasabi account with billing enabled. Sign up for a free trial
Root or sub-user access keys with permissions to create and manage buckets
A Wasabi bucket in your preferred region dedicated to WordPress backups
Wasabi bucket names must be globally unique and DNS-compliant. Consider using a format like
company-wordpress-backups-region
for clarity.
Log in to your Wasabi account and navigate to the Console, or go directly to console.wasabisys.com
Click "Create Bucket" and configure the basic settings:
Bucket name:
Replace with your actual company/project name
Region:
Allows multiple backup versions per file
Keep backups secure and private
Track access to your backup bucket
Review your settings and click "Create Bucket". Your Wasabi backup storage is now ready!

Once you have your Wasabi bucket and access credentials, connect them to PloyWP:
